Ghorerepani Poon Hill trek are one of the most famous and adventurous treks in Nepal which offers panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri ranges and an awe-inspiring holy mountain of Machhapuchhre(Fishtail) at the height of 3210m. Poon Hill and Ghorepani trek is a short and easy trek to the Annapurna region which let you observed the beauty of the snow-capped mountains, the beautiful village of Ulleri, Ghorepani, and Ghandruk. Additionally, you will also get chances to encounter and observe delightful village inhabited by Gurungs and Magars. Every corner of this trek, you will find an exciting glance of the high mountains. The viewpoint on Poon Hill offers the best view of outstanding sunrise and mountains such as; Mt. Annapurna (I), Annapurna South, Annapurna II, III, IV, Tukuche Peak, Gangapurna, Barasikhar, Lamjung Himal, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli and Manaslu range along with wonderful dense rhododendron forests full of birds and imaging valleys make your trip more pleasurable.
Poon Hill and Ghorepani trek officially begin from Nayapul after one and half hour drive from Pokhara. This pleasant trail will follow the beautiful village of Ulleri, Ghorepani, and Ghandruk. We will descend from Nangethati to Ghorepani and remain overnight at teahouse. After waking up at the break of first light, we’ll climb to Poon Hill for dawn see over the Himalayan Mountains. From Poon Hill, we stroll down to the teahouse and eat. At that point, we stroll down to Ghandruk town. This is an extremely prominent customary town of Gurung ethnic gatherings of individuals where you can encounter their deep-rooted traditions and culture and connect with the nearby individuals. After spending a night at Ghandruk town we will follow the course to Nayapul and catch the land transport. We meet numerous kindred trekkers up and down the route amid the trek.

Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
After arriving at Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu, one of our representatives will be waiting to pick you up and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time you might want to take a walk around inside the center of Kathmandu, namely Thamel. Also called backpackers paradise Thamel is filled with small and big souvenir shops, boutiques, and charming restaurants.  Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 02:  Sightseeing in Kathmandu
As morning rises, we explore the entire city of Kathmandu visiting different religious and historical sites including Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. We’ll buy the required equipment and prepare for the tour. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03:  Drive to Pokhara (Optional: Flight) (800m)
Early in the morning, we drive towards Pokhara on the bank of Trishuli River with the beautiful mountain view by its side. You can also reach Pokhara by flight that depends on your choice. After you rich in Pokhara, you can see the beautiful views of mountains including Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and others. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 04:  Drive to Nayapul, Trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m)
After an early breakfast in the morning, we drive towards Nayapul where we begin our trek towards Tikhedhunga. We’ll visit the entire village of Tikhedhunga and stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 05:  Trek to Ghorepani (2,750m/9,020 ft) 6-7 hours
We continue our trek towards Ghorepani through the forests of rhododendron and pine. We’ll observe different cultural villages in the way. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 06:  Trek to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft) via Poonhill: 6 - 7 hours
We walk through the steep landscape towards Tadapani via PoonHill. We can see the majestic mountain views of the Annapurna Mountain Range from Poon hill along with the beautiful local villages. Overnight in Tadapani.

Day 07:  Trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): 3 - 4 hours
The next day, we descend towards Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a large village is actually quite and offers the exciting views of Annapurnas.  Overnight in Ghandruk.

Day 08:  Ghandruk to Pokhara: 4 hours trek and 1-hour drive
After breakfast, we trek straight towards the road access where we can get bus or taxi that can take us back to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, we walk through the entire city for refreshment. Overnight in Pokhara.


Day 09: Drive Back to Kathmandu
After the awe-inspiring time on the extraordinary mountains and stunning peaks of Annapurna Mountain, you will end your trek and return back to Kathmandu with the unforgettable memories of the trek in Nepal, inthe evening you will have farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 10:  Final departure
Today, our tour comes to an end. After an early breakfast in the morning and hotel checkout, a representative will help you with your final departure.

Trekking equipments
The main essentials to bring are:
  • Sturdy and comfortable hiking boots, flip-flops
  • Sleeping bag (depending on your accommodation) and -20 degree Celsius for colder regions
  • Daypack, trekking bag pack, dry sack and camera bag
  • Few changes of clothes for the varying temperatures
  • For cold weather, hiking pants, thermals, gloves, neck warmer/scarf, beanie, a warm inner jacket and a windproof / waterproof outer jacket and down jacket are essential.
  • Water purification supplies, a reusable water bottle and a camelback water bladder
  • Sunscreen, Hat, sunglasses, moisturizing skin cream and lip balm
  • Few snacks, granola bars
  • Hiking stick or two
  • Waterproof case, fabric bandages such as moleskin, a headlamp, altitude sickness and other medication
  • Camera and binoculars.
  • Hand sanitizers, toilet paper, band-aids, wet wipes
  • Extra batteries (solar chargers recommended)
On the popular trekking routes, everyday supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, chocolate bars, and even basic hiking supplies can be purchased along the way, though prices rise dramatically as you go higher in elevation. Try to stock up lower down and buy locally-produced products such as fruit, biscuits etc. Maps are easy to find in Nepal. For the more difficult treks involving mountaineering, crampons and ice axes may be required. Simpler types of crampons, which attach to the shoe using a rubber ring, are easily obtainable in the Thamel neighborhood. These are variously known as spikes, micro spikes and chains.
