This marvelous Annapurna Khayer Lake Trekking is one of the most popular trails, which is newly discovered alternative trekking trail in Annapurna region. Annapurna Khayer Lake is hidden between classic Annapurna Base Camp, 10th highest Himalayan and Dhaulagiri. It is really amazing to view scared glacier Lake in this beautiful location. Walking into the enchanting forest, mixed of beautiful rhododendron, blue pine, firs, magnolia, oaks trees and natural garden of rolling green hill in the shadow of towering snowcapped peaks make this trail one of the best destination. Khayer Lake trek takes to the beautiful and mix culture of Gurung and Magar village with exceptional mountain views over the many Himalayas including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Nilgiri from Khopra Ridge and Poon Hill. Beside the scenic views of different mountains, you will also experience the warm hospitality of the Gurung and Magar people along the way of Khare Lake.
Annapurna Khyare Lake treks start from the Capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. From where we will take around 6 hours’ drive to Pokhara, scenic and popular touristic place. We will Official begin our trek from paradise city Pokhara and heads into the mid hills through Magar and Gurung tribe farm settlement with magnificent scenery of rolling green hills and snow peaks. Which takes us to the isolated but incredible Annapurna Khyare Lake. As the trail goes higher through the attractive rhododendron forest, the views of Mt. Annapurna South, Himchuli and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) are surely mesmerizing. On reaching Khopra Ridge our camp is right below Mt. Annapurna. After that, we walk up to the sacred lake above Khare, that offers a marvelous alpine experience. On the way back to Pokhara, if trekkers want to follow the trail of Tatopani, we make it possible, where we can enjoy the natural hot spring healing bathe. Tn this way we can end our trek then drive back to Pokhara.

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival
As you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will receive you and drop you into one of the best hotels in the Kathmandu Valley, where you can take rest and relax. You can enjoy welcome dinner with our team. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Next morning, after having breakfast, officially we will begin our trek by exploring different religious and historical places that are enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage site. You will visit one of the famous Pashupatinath Temple, which is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines across the world, Syambhunath temple is known as monkey temple, Boudhanath stupas, Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara.
On this day, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will drive towards Pokhara, which is situated at around 200km, west of Kathmandu through the beautiful Trisuli and Marsyangdi rivers. Around 6 hours’ drive takes you to the paradise city Pokhara. In the evening you can visit lakeside and enjoy boating in Fewa Lake. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 04: Pokhara to Ghandruk
Today, after morning breakfast, we will continue our trek towards Ghandruk. We will trek steeply up the hill and reach to Ghandruk, a Gurung community. As you reach to Ghandruk, you can enjoy remarkable Himalayas views such as; Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre. Overnight at Ghandruk.

Day 05: Ghandruk to Tadapani
After breakfast, we head toward Tadapani. The route to Tadapani from Ghandruk is through rhododendron misty forests, which is possible works mainly as a shortcut between Poo Hill and trekking trail to Annapurna Base Camp. You will enjoy here the views of the magnificent mountains mostly early in the morning, before the landscape veils into the misty clouds. Overnight at Tadapani. 

Day 06: Tadapani to Dobato
After breakfast, today we will divert from the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking trail to a less used path. Walking through rhododendron forests, you will come across buffalo pastures and small cleanings. After that, you have to go through rhododendron forests, again for about two and half hours to reach Dobato.Overnight at Dobato.

Day 07: Dobato to Chistibung
Today, the trail will be uphill and downhill through rhododendron forests again. It takes an hour’s walk to reach Bayli Kharka, a beautiful pasture, from where you can see the Dhaulagiri range at close distance. It will take three more hours to reach Chistibung from Bayli Kharka. There are plenty of of lodges and hotels in Chistibung which will provide you with a reasonable accommodation.

Day 08: Chistibung to Khopra Danda
Today, you will have an easy time trekking to Khopra Danda, it takes only 3 hours at most to get there. It is an uphill trek, you need to take rest very frequently. From there you can expect to see the Himalayan Tahr (the wild goat) and the national bird of Nepal, Danfe. You can have full range view of almost all mountain peaks like Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri range, Nilgiri, Bharasikhar, along with their foothills, is visible at a close distance from here. 

Day 09: Trek from Khopra Danda to Khayer Lake 
After breakfast, get yourself prepared for today’s trekking. It might be an exhausting journey from Khopra Danda to Khare Lake. But the beauty of this high-altitude Lake and Brahma temple is worth more than your effort. It takes approximately five hours to reach this holy place. Overnight at Khayer Lake.

Day 10: Explore a day in Khyare Base Camp (visit Kalibaraha holy Lake and Annapurna South Glacier)
After morning breakfast, we will explore the Khayer Base Camp and visit the Kalibaraha holy Lake, a scenic spot with the scenery of landscapes along with the magnificent view of Annapurna South Glacier and Dhaulagiri and many others peaks. Overnight at Base Camp.

Day 11: Khopra Danda to Swanta
Today, after observing the panoramic views of high mountains and having taken breakfast, you can descend down to Chistibung. Then the route goes instantly up and down again, which continues till you reach Swanta, a beautiful but less known Magar habitation.

Day 12: Swanta to Ulleri
Today, after breakfast, we will head toward Ulleri, which does not require much stamina going up and down. There are plenty of lodges and hotels in Ulleri. Overnight stay at Ulleri.

Day 13: Trek to Nayapul and Drive back to Pokhara
Our Trek Driver will pick you up from Nayapul and drive you to Pokhara. After one and half hours driving you will find yourself in Pokhara, the beautiful lake city. You will most probably have some spare hours during which you can visit different places of tourist attractions.

Day 14: Drive Back to Kathmandu
Today early in the morning after having breakfast, we will drive towards Kathmandu. in evenoing you will enjoy Farewell Dinner.

Day 15: Final Departure
It is your final day in Nepal and it is time to say goodbye. A representative will help you to reach you towards your final destination.

Trekking equipments
The main essentials to bring are:
  • Sturdy and comfortable hiking boots, flip-flops
  • Sleeping bag (depending on your accommodation) and -20 degree Celsius for colder regions
  • Daypack, trekking bag pack, dry sack and camera bag
  • Few changes of clothes for the varying temperatures
  • For cold weather, hiking pants, thermals, gloves, neck warmer/scarf, beanie, a warm inner jacket and a windproof / waterproof outer jacket and down jacket are essential.
  • Water purification supplies, a reusable water bottle and a camelback water bladder
  • Sunscreen, Hat, sunglasses, moisturizing skin cream and lip balm
  • Few snacks, granola bars
  • Hiking stick or two
  • Waterproof case, fabric bandages such as moleskin, a headlamp, altitude sickness and other medication
  • Camera and binoculars.

On the popular trekking routes, everyday supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, chocolate bars, and even basic hiking supplies can be purchased along the way, though prices rise dramatically as you go higher in elevation. Try to stock up lower down and buy locally-produced products such as fruit, biscuits etc. Maps are easy to find in Nepal. For the more difficult treks involving mountaineering, crampons and ice axes may be required. Simpler types of crampons, which attach to the shoe using a rubber ring, are easily obtainable in the Thamel neighborhood. These are variously known as spikes, micro spikes and chains.
