The Royal Trek, with its low altitudes, is really an amazing trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The Royal Trek is fused with the native village, terraced fields, lakes, and breathtaking mountains which offers us magnificent views of Annapurna ranges, including Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Fishtails, Dhaulagiri, Langtang, Nigiri and Lamjung and many other stunning peaks. This impressive trek is announced as a trekking route after Prince Charles and Mick Zaggar, the vocalist of the rolling stones have been outsized it. The Royal trek offers you the beautiful opportunity to expand your cultural awareness, view majestic mountains, and enjoy the blessings of nature. You might not want to miss the opportunity to explore the Annapurna region. It is one of the perfect destinations to explore the blend of nature, cultural, and spiritual awakenings during the trek.

Throughout the trek, you shall cross through several Gurung settlements, enjoying the views of staggering Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, and Langtang, rice cultivation on terraced slopes, etc. Typically starting from the beautiful city of Pokhara, the terminal point of the trek is the beautiful Begnas Lake. Anybody with moderate physical fitness can complete this trek without any hassle. You shall be collecting some cultural experiences in the Gurung communities, their religious and cultural practices, and lifestyles. This less crowded and less busy trekking package has something different and distinct to offer you.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,320 m)
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Day 3: Drive to Pokhara (823 m)
Day 4: Drive to Bijayapur Khola/Trek to Kalikasthan (1,370 m)
Day 5: Trek to Syaklung (1,730 m)

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,320 m)
Welcome to Nepal. Our representative shall receive you from the Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to your hotel. After you rest and freshen up, you might want to go shopping for a while to buy some gears for your trek starting from the next day. We shall be enjoying the Welcome Dinner at the popular restaurant in the town with typical Nepalese delicacies.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Next morning, after having breakfast, we will visit Unesco World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley; Pashupatinath Temple, Syambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening you will get brief descriptions of the next day trek. Stay overnight at the same hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara (823 m)
After breakfast in the morning, you shall head off towards Pokhara via a vehicle; the journey might take you around 7 hours. Witnessing the beautiful villages scattered over the hills, you shall reach the beautiful city—Pokhara. The city offers you the views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, etc. You stroll for a while on the lakeside of Pokhara. Stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 4: Drive to Bijayapur Khola/Trek to Kalikasthan (1,370 m)
After breakfast in the morning, you shall ride for an hour to Bijayapur Khola via a vehicle. After reaching there, you shall start trekking to Kalikasthan. You shall be walking through the plain field of paddies before crossing the river. After making through the river, you will have to ascend uphill to reach Kalikasthan. You can explore the place after you are done with your rest. Stay overnight at Kalikasthan.

Day 5: Trek to Syaklung (1,730 m)
Trekking through several villages, over the ridges, witnessing the majestic views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna, you shall make through dense forests full of Sal trees and rhododendrons. Today's trek gives you the best opportunity to explore the several villages and expand your cultural awareness. Stay overnight at Syaklung.

Day 6: Trek to Chisapani (1,550 m)
 Observing the local lifestyle of Gurung communities, you shall trek through the forest of Sal trees and rhododendrons. After a while, you will have to descend, and then an ascent of about 600 m awaits you. This ascent leads you to Chisapani. This place is considered to be the best place to enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains. Stay overnight at Chisapani.

Day 7: Trek to Begenas Lake and drive back to Pokhara (823 m)
 In this day, we will have a breakfast and descending downhill to Rupatal, you ascend uphill to reach Sundare Danda. A 15 minute descend takes you to the Begnas Lake. You shall be enjoying the boating here for about an hour. After that, you will be transferred to your hotel in Pokhara. You might love to make a short exploration of the city. Stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 8: Drive to Kathmandu (1,320 m)
Witnessing the countryside during your ride, you shall arrive at Kathmandu. You shall be taken to your hotel where you would love giving generous rest your body deserves. As you rest, the reminiscence of your experiences during the trek shall flood your memories.  In the evening you shall be enjoying the farewell Dinner hosted by us in a popular resaurant. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 9: Departure
This is the day of your departure. After you are done packing your bags and luggage, our representative shall receive you from your hotel and take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport within sufficient time ahead of your departure flight. We shall bid our goodbyes and farewell. Have a safe journey back to your home country.

Trekking equipments
The main essentials to bring are:
  • Sturdy and comfortable hiking boots, flip-flops
  • Sleeping bag (depending on your accommodation) and -20 degree Celsius for colder regions
  • Daypack, trekking bag pack, dry sack and camera bag
  • Few changes of clothes for the varying temperatures
  • For cold weather, hiking pants, thermals, gloves, neck warmer/scarf, beanie, a warm inner jacket and a windproof / waterproof outer jacket and down jacket are essential.
  • Water purification supplies, a reusable water bottle and a camelback water bladder
  • Sunscreen, Hat, sunglasses, moisturizing skin cream and lip balm
  • Few snacks, granola bars
  • Hiking stick or two
  • Waterproof case, fabric bandages such as moleskin, a headlamp, altitude sickness and other medication
  • Camera and binoculars.
  • Hand sanitizers, toilet paper, band-aids, wet wipes
  • Extra batteries (solar chargers recommended)
On the popular trekking routes, everyday supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, chocolate bars, and even basic hiking supplies can be purchased along the way, though prices rise dramatically as you go higher in elevation. Try to stock up lower down and buy locally-produced products such as fruit, biscuits etc. Maps are easy to find in Nepal. For the more difficult treks involving mountaineering, crampons and ice axes may be required. Simpler types of crampons, which attach to the shoe using a rubber ring, are easily obtainable in the Thamel neighborhood. These are variously known as spikes, micro spikes and chains.
