Tsum valley trek offers you the best trekking experience in the remote and off-the-beaten trails, taking you to the distinct culture of Tsum Valley. People in the Tsum valley have their own language and social practices. Situated in the northern part of Manaslu region, this region doesn’t attract much visitor in comparison to other trekking destinations. Trekking via the dense forest rich with rhododendrons, crossing the rivers via several suspension bridges, passing through several villages inhabited by ethnic people, you shall make all the way to the Tsum valley. Throughout your journey, you shall trek beside the Rachen Gompa, Dephydonma Gompa, Mu Gompa, and several other gompas, Mani Walls, Chortens, Prayer Wheels, etc.
 
You shall start the trek after your arrival at Arughat. Via Soti Khola, Jagat, Chisopani, Chumling, Chokhangparo, Nile, Mu Gompa, Burgi Village, Milarepa Cave, Chumling, Philim, Khorlabesi, Soti Khola, Arughat, you shall complete this trek. Despite being less travelled route, you are not required to have any athletic body fitness to complete this trek; moderate level of fitness that can endure the long duration of walking for 6-7 hours for some days is sufficient to complete this trek. However, if you do have some prior experience of trekking, you can be at advantageous condition. Otherwise, you can do some exercise few weeks before the trek. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,345 m

Welcome to Nepal. Our representative shall receive you from the airport and take you to your hotel. After you rest for a while, you can shop trekking gears. In the late afternoon, we shall have a short debrief session. We shall be enjoying the Welcome Dinner in the evening. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Sightseeing at Kathmandu
As morning rises, after early breakfast, we will manage you to visit major world heritage sites such as Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred site for Hindu and Buddhist. Syambhunath temple famous for sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley, Royal Kathmandu Durbar Square, and largest Boudhanath Stupa through the world. In the evening, you need to be well prepared for the next day trek. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Drive to Arughat
Altitude: Arughat: 600 m

It takes about 6-7 hours to reach Arughat from Kathmandu via a vehicle. Witnessing the scattered settlements in the hills, narrow shops standing on the either sides of the highway, you shall reach all the way to Arughat. Arughat is divided into two segments by the Budhi Gandaki River. Stay overnight at Arughat. 

Day 4: Trek to Soti Khola
Altitude: Soti Khola: 700 m

Crossing the Budhi Gandaki River, via the street paved with stones, you shall walk beside the hydro-electric station. Passing through dense forest, terraced fields where rice are growing, you shall arrive at Shanti Bazar. Then, you shall trek via the steeply and more challenging trail to arrive at Arkhet Khola. Passing the Arkhet Bazar, hiking over a ridge, you shall arrive at Soti Khola. 

Day 5:  Trek to Machha Khola
Altitude: Machha Khola: 870 m

Crossing the bridge, you shall trek via the dense forest full with Sal trees, and ascend over a ridge. Beside the waterfalls, steep rocks, you shall make several ascends and descends before reaching the terraced fields full with growing paddies. Passing the Labubesi, Budhi Gandaki meanders, you shall descend down to the river bed. Trekking further takes you to Machha Khola. Stay overnight at Machha Khola.

Day 6: Trek to Jagat
Altitude: Jagat: 2,340 m

Initially, making some gentle ascends and descends, you shall cross the Tharo Khola. Passing the Khorlabesi, a small natural hot spring, you shall arrive at Tatopani. Making through next ridge, leads you to cross the suspension bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River. After you climb the staircase, you arrive at Dhobhan, from where the trail shall take you to Duman. Crossing the Yaru Khola, passing Tharo Bhanjyang, crossing the Budhi Gandaki River, again, takes to you to Jagat. Stay overnight at Jagat. 

Day 7: Trek to Chisopani
Altitude: Chisopani: 1,660 m

Trail to Salleri is rocky, via the steeply ridge. Descent to Sirdibas, and further trekking shall take you to Ghatta Khola. Trekking along the river, passing the Philim Village, via dense forest full with varieties of vegetation, you shall arrive at Chisopani. The whole trek is of 4-5 hours, with comfortable level of trekking. Stay overnight at Chisopani. 

Day 8: Trek to Chumling
Altitude: Chumling: 2,386 m

Before witnessing the spectacular waterfall, you have to make through the gorge leaving Ekle Bhatti. Entering into the forest, you shall descend for a short moment, and then ascend the forest. Passing through several villages and rivers, you shall arrive at the Siyar Khola, crossing which, you shall reach Chumling. It takes about 6-7 hours to reach Chumling. Stay overnight at Chumling. 

Day 9: Trek to Chokhangparo
Altitude: Chokhangparo: 3,010 m

Crossing the river over suspension bridge, witnessing the breathtaking views of mountains, you shall cross another river, the Serpu Khola. Via Rainjam, and the river, you shall arrive at Gho Village. Ascending for another 2 hours takes you to Chhokangparo. You shall get plenty of mountain-views from Chokhangparo. Stay overnight at Chokhangparo. 

Day 10: Trek to Nile
Altitude: Nile: 3,361 m

Passing the Lama Gaon, Rachen Gompa, you shall arrive at Shiar Khola. Again, leaving the Pangdun, Phurbe, and Lar villages, you shall make through another village, the Shiar Village, and ascend before crossing the river. After you make through the river, you are at Nile. There is the Chhule Monastery which is pretty popular from this place. Stay overnight at Nile. 

Day 11: Trek to  Mu Gompa
Altitude: Mu Gompa: 3,700 m

It is a short trek, which is of 3 hours that take you to the border side. You shall be walking on the western side of Nile, through the landscape similar at the Tibetan side. Mu Gompa is located at the highest point in the trek of Tsum Valley, and is also situated at the remote part. If time permits, you might also love trekking to the bottom of the Pika Mountain. Stay overnight at Mu Gompa. 

Day 12: Trek to Burgi Village via Milarepa Cave
Altitude: Burgi Village: 3,245 m

You shall retrace your steps via Phurbe and Chhule villages to arrive at Burgi village. Here, you can also climb to the Milarepa Cave. The most interesting part of the climb is that it offers you the most staggering views of Kipu Himal, Poshyop Glacier, and Churke Himal. Stay overnight at Burgi Village. 

Day 13: Trek to Chumling
Altitude: Chumling: 2,386 m

Enjoying the beauty of landscape and lush green vegetation, you shall descend to the Chhokang Paro Village. You descend shall continue down to the Gho. Further descent takes you to the Sarpu River, crossing which, you shall enter into the lower area of Tsum Valley before arriving at Chumling. Stay overnight at Chumling. 

Day 14: Trek to Philim
Altitude: Philim: 1,570 m

It is 6-7 hours trek from Chumling Village to Chumling via Lokpa. Witnessing the lowering mountains, and Samaba falls, you shall make to the Philim village. Further from the village, there’s the Ganesh Himal Base Camp, you might fancy to do further trekking. Stay overnight at Philim. 

Day 15: Trek to Khorlabesi
Altitude: Khorlabesi: 970 m

Via Sirdibas, Jagat, Yaruphant, Dohan, you shall arrive at Tatopani. You might fancy a bath in the natural hot spring, to wash away all your exhaustion and make room for more adventure. Further trekking from the Tatopani shall take you to Khorlabesi. Stay overnight at Khorlabesi. 

Day 16: Trek to Soti Khola
Altitude: Soti Khola: 700 m

Crossing the Tharo Khola, you shall descend down to the Machha Khola Village. Walking alongside the Budhi Gandaki River, you shall arrive at Labubesi, the village inhabited by Gurung tribes. Passing the waterfalls, via Khursane, you shall arrive at Soti Khola, after making through the dense forest full with Sal trees. Stay overnight at Soti Khola. 

Day 17: Trek to Arughat/Drive to Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,345 m

Ascending to the Kyorpani Ridge, you shall descend down passing the waterfall. Via Arkhet, Arkhet Khola, Budhi Gandaki Valley, Sante Bazar, Maltar, you shall arrive at Arughat. From there you shall drive back to Kathmandu, which might take about 7-8 hours from there. Our representative shall take you to your hotel. Stay overnight at Kathmandu. 


Day 18: At Kathmandu
A leisure day in Kathmandu which can be used for exploring. You can visit holy temples like Pashupatinath, Swyambhunath and many more. And in the evening. You can enjoy farewell dinner with Nepalis cultural program
Day 19: Departure
Our representative shall take you to the airport within sufficient time before your departure flight. After they bade goodbyes, they shall part away from the airport. Have a safe and happy journey to your country.
